Mueller Spiral-Pro Vegetable Slicer - Review

By A Wee Bit of Cake - November 24, 2015

I’ve just realised I haven’t blogged since the start of November and it’s December next week – major oops on my part as I’ve got a few product reviews coming up that really need publishing. Life has been so crazy lately between one thing and another that my poor blog is once again taking a back seat. I’m still battling tiredness through this pregnancy and now for some crazy reason we have decided that at 6 months pregnant now is the time to start looking at moving house. The past few weekends have had us looking at finances, juggling things and viewing a few houses. We haven’t found anywhere that we love yet but we have found a house we quite like so are going back with a friend next weekend to have a second viewing. He works in construction and can hopefully tell us if the work it needs is purely cosmetic or there is more to it.

As I mentioned earlier I have been sent a few kitchen gadgets to try out and some I hope will come in very handy after baby is born. One of these is the Mueller Spiral-Pro Vegetable Slicer or in layman’s terms – it’s a spiralizer! Now I’ve been after one of these for ages, they truly are amazing gadgets. Mr T likes to watch his carb intake so seeing as Spag Bol is my favourite pregnancy food and we are eating a lot of it he has been using it to make courgetti instead of spaghetti.

It’s so simple to use – pop the courgette on the spikey bit (it works better if the courgette is straight) turn the handle and voila – you have a lovely low carb alternative to your meal.

We’ve used it a few times and so far I’m impressed. The suction feet stop it wobbling, everything cleans in the dishwasher (win!) and it packs away neatly as we have a teeny kitchen with limited space. You can also use it one-handed so I’m anticipating once baby arrives I’ll still be able to cook even if the little man wants to be held.

You really can use any veg on it (provided it’s not wonky) and now it’s got me thinking of making spiralized potatoes that I can then roast in the oven and douse in salt and paprika – yum!

Thanks Mueller for sending me out your product to try, it’s great!

  1. Wow! That's all I can say about this spirilizer. I've tried others before, but none come close to this performance. I love that it came with the Hand-protecting top that attaches to whatever you spirilizer. vegetable spirilizer
