I'm back and I've got a delicious little festive recipe to share with you all. I'm finally starting to feel more human now I'm out of the first trimester so I decided there was no time like the present and I needed to get back in to my happy place and baking again. I actually spotted this recipe on Brown Eyed Baker's blog...
So yeah.... I've been pretty quiet across all my social channels recently. Blogging, Vlogging, Instagram and Twitter all took a back seat for these past two months and I only posted when I had to but I've got a very good reason for this.... Baby Longley No2 is on the way! Our little bean should be fully baked in early June and we...
Ummmm can someone please tell me how it's now November? I swear I only just wrote October's Me and Mine Post and now I'm sat here writing out another one. I had all these grand ideas that I would take some lovely family photos at the Pumpkin Patch that we went to at Birchfield Farm near Harrogate but then I didn't anticipate the mud and...
6am and the alarm goes off. I groggily reach for my phone and press snooze hoping to catch another 10 minutes before I have to get up. I feel myself drifting off then a yell from across the hall rouses me from my slumber. I sleepily stumble into Ethan's room, scoop him up for a cuddle and take him back to our room....

Being a working mum is hard. I feel like I'm constantly spinning lots of plates - have I achieved my to do list in work/is the house clean/has the laundry been done/when will we do the food shop/are the enough nappies and snacks in for Ethan?? The list goes on and on... Tom works longer hours than me and often works at home...

This is one post where words will be at a minimum and the photos will do the talking. These have actually stolen the crown from my salted caramel brownies as the best brownies and I've already made them twice more in the space of a few weeks as they are so ridiculously moriesh. A fudgy chocolate brownie with a layer of Malteser spread and crushed...
Major fail on the Me and Mine Projects photos this month - oops.... I'm never organised enough at the start of the month, then we had one weekend of family visiting, another where I was only home for a whirlwind 36 hours due to work commitments down in London and then when I planned to snap some this weekend the weather was miserable...

I can't believe I'm only getting round to sharing Part 2 of our week in France now and it's been a month since we got back. I'm blaming YouTube and editing our holiday vlogs, all of which you can find here. I ended my last post talking about our journey and first full day where we went to Arromanches and the American cemetery...

I've said it time and time again but my favourite cakes to make are the ones that I make for those that I love. Nothing beats baking something delicious and then seeing the recipients face as they tuck into a slice (or two) of cakey goodness. Over the summer we had my parents and two of my brothers come to visit. They had...

August… what a month… in some ways these past 4 weeks have flown by but at the same time it feels like we have finally had a month that went at a much slower pace even though it was jam packed. I love our family photos this month, three were taken on holiday in France and the other was taken at a wedding...

And just like that my 4 years as organiser of Wharfedale Clandestine Cake Club were over... I joined CCC in 2012; my first event was actually the day the Olympic Torch came through Leeds (I remember going to see it with my bestie Rhianne before heading to cake club). I used to attend the events in the city centre and in Headingley as...
